A Pit Bulls' Right to Be (Poem)
to clear my head, when along the way.
I came upon a sight to sorry to see,
a beaten pit bull looking up at me.
She had been fought, and lost my guess,
Thrown away like all the rest.
In her eyes, I saw a love so deep,
a deep hardened anger into my soul did creep.
I put the anger aside, and bent down to hold,
this beautiful creature, so lonely and cold.
I knew she was dying, she knew it too,
and she would die in my arms, me saying I love you.
We sat for awhile, looking into each other's eyes,
and no one could hear our sad, sad cries.
With her last little strength, she licked my face,
and then went away with a beautiful grace.
I walked away a different soul,
Anger and hatred would take their toll.
I was so lost in anger and grief,
my life was being stolen, by an invisible thief.
I looked for a purpose, and soon I did see,
I had to fight, for a pit bulls right to be.
Pit bulls are loyal, loving, honest, and true,
and sweet pit bulls, I'll always be fighting for you.

Post a Commentyou havve to understand tht pit bulls are dying every where on these cold street concrete and no ones doing any thinabout it my pit got hit 2 weeks ago and thry didnt stop and even tell me they just kept going . all the emotion set in when i found my pooor baby crushed in the rhode

pitbulls r not bad.........is wat ppl dont seem 2 understand. of course how would u like it if u were locked up in a room all day wouldnt u become angry yeah. pitbulls do2. i dont get people they r scared of a pit because he is suppodsedly vicious when they r the ones that made him like that
I wish that ppl could jus c that pits r not bad dogs that its wat the owners train them 2 do..its rly sad 2 know that ppl in this world could do things like that 2 the poor things..me and my brother were walking 1 day and we saw a pitbull with all these scars on him..we bent down and got on our kness but stayed away cuz we didnt know if it waz mean or not and as we sat there he got up and started to come to us and the poor thing waz limping and waz in so much pain..when he got to us my brother stuck out his hand and the pitbull jus licked it and then came up to me and got in my lap and laid there..we didnt want to leave him so we took him home and my when my mom saw him she started crying cuz she felt so bad for him..after a while of care and love he became a healthy dog and we decided to name him Chance cuz he waz givin a 2nd chance in life..to this day he iz no longer with us but he will alwayz be in our hearts..he waz not only a dog or a pitbull but a special member of our family..a
I LOVE PIT BULLS....I DONT HAVE ONE BUT I LOVE THEM I OWNED TWO A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND EVERYONE IS RIGHT THEY ARE THE MOST LOYAL, LOVING ANIMLAS ANY ONE COULD HAVE......MAH COUSIN HAS A PIT BULL AND HE IS TO HUGE AND I MEAN HUGE AND HE WOULD NOT HURT A FLY........ Great Poem Man.... Pit bulls arent the problem its the way they're trained. i have a pit bull myself, he's huge but he wouldnt hurt a fly.
