The Nevada State Veterans Home is located in Boulder City, Nevada on 100 Veterans Memorial Drive. The spacious nursing home is nestled into a quiet desert area on the outskirts of town. When one first drives into the parking lot, one thing that comes to mind it just how beautiful the building and it's landscaping are. Numerous desert plants are planted on a number of acres around the building. One can see rabbits, quail, and maybe even the occasional coyote cross the parking lot. The residents are able to have their own little plot of land where they can grow their own produce. Numerous trails wind around the acres of beautiful desert landscape that surround the home. Residents can go out and see the beautiful landscape and the little critters that reside in it.
When people walk into the veterans home, they may be surprised to find out that it does not look like the ordinary nursing home. The front lobby is beautifully decorated with numerous veterans memorabilia, a huge American flag, nice furniture, and nicely colored walls. The people at the front desk are very helpful and willing to take you where you need to go. Perhaps the nicest characteristic is that it has an open and bright feeling to it.
The Nevada State Veterans Home offers many services. Dozens of on-site nurses provide the highest quality care to every single veteran. The veterans home has state of the art medical equipment which is used to monitor a resident's health. Also on-site is a physical therapy room where residents can stop in for physical therapy when they need it. The nurses will break their backs to make sure that every resident is well taken care of.
The veterans home is really unique in that it has many normal everyday services that everyone expects to have. On site there is a hair stylist, a canteen, and even a beautiful state of the art dining room. The brand new dining room opened in February 2009 and provides the residents with a four star dining experience. Families can come in at anytime to eat a meal with their loved ones. The food really is comparable to that of a fine dining restaurant.
Come to the veterans home and see what it has to offer. The employees really do put all of their time and effort to make sure that America's heroes are taken care of. No one's request or needs will ever be ignored. You can be rest assured that the home will provide the best care found anywhere else. As a matter of fact, it has been rated one of the top nursing homes in the entire nation. It really is a great place to be.
