A Plea for Completion

Candice
another day started
and already a quandary
so many things begun
with none a finale

this is a plea for completion
for things I enter upon
please give me the courage
to achieve a sunset for every dawn

I seem to have a habit
of starting with a bang
then come to nothing
like a dud firework in hand

but I must ask for one more thing
just a bit more of your kind attention
to make certain you read this
to its final ending and completion

I'm finding it difficult
to find the right words
expressing to you
the true meaning of this dilemma absurd

even this poem
began with a spark
and now fizzles slowly
like a candle blown out in the dark....

I think that is a problem for so many. We can sometimes be easily distracted. But keep pressing on. I think your poem expressed your feelings very nicely and even at the final conclusion. Gret job.
