A Poem for You as You Graduate
This Poem is Dedicated to a Friend in Anticipation of Graduation
At times wondering if it would ever come.
So many demands seemed impossible at times,
Yet you made it through, as I knew you would.
Still, you took time to help me when I needed it
Uplifting and giving me confidence when I was down.
Honored you came to me in your time of need
To share ideas and for encouragement I could give.
As you graduate, a whole new world is open
Open for you to take hold of as you choose
I hope you continue to take the high road
And don't let the demands of the world hurt you.
At times you will look back and miss this time spent
and I hope you use all you've learned.
This is just the next step in fulfilling your life
And I truly, dearly hope all of your dreams come true.
