A Poem for My Dad

Pamela Pleasant
When I was born my mother told me, that you thought I was very pretty

That you were so happy to have me and I began to love my Daddy

You dried my tears when I cried and made me laugh most the time

I never will forget riding our bikes together in the past, I was Nell Fenwick and you were Snidley Whiplash

We raced around the neighborhood and although it looked like you tried to defeat me, you always let me win the race and never did you beat me

I woke up everyday with you singing in my ear, "My little horse where is your wagon" is what I would hear

I remember thinking, that my Daddy watches over me and there is nothing ever to fear

You taught me to have manners and to be respectful to everyone

You taught me to be fair and nice, even when It wasn't so fun

If it wasn't for you I would never be the person I am today

I Love you so much my Daddy and I am so thankful for you

So have a happy fathers day!!

I think you were a lucky girl. Many girls and boys don't have that kind of memories about their Dad's or Mom's. Great work too BTW! Johnny Yuma
