Growing up
there was a guy
who was always there
stuck by my side.
there was a guy
who was always there
stuck by my side.
He took me shopping
even fixed my hair
he cooked us dinner
and taught us to share.
He was there for events
come rain and snow
he helped with homework
and never let go.
Growing up
I learned from his acts
what a parent should be
and what other dads lacked.
I took him for granted
for a very long time
but now and forever
dad, I'm glad you are mine!
