A Poem of Faith

I admire your faith of what is to come
So strong and fulfilled
In a fulfilling sum
The size of a mustard seed
That is what they say is the need

You look forward to where you are going
Not sad of where you have been
Without any doubts of what he has given

I admire the struggle to be as you should
In light of the struggle it takes to be free
You fight your way through and seek the knowledge
Feeling your fullness in all you believe

I feel such emptiness within my chest
I know yours is full and ready to rest
I believe in what I am able to feel, taste and see
Not knowing of any other way to be

Never feeling an answer to what is my plea
Always being told he will seek me
Never have I felt his presence to me
His need of my faithfulness or my inner self

A soul we each have or so you explain
That will reign with him in heaven some day
I feel no such part of me filling me up
Just an empty shell with nothing but blood

I seek what there was before he became
Those things that I see, feel and can explain
It is how I cope with what is to come
The fear of the end if it is near
That all there will be is empty blackness
No promise land or things filled with brightness

I admire your faith of what is to come
I see you as strong and full of such love
