A Poem to Friends

Carmella Mae Dunkin

To all my friends on the world wide web,

I beg you please, forgive me.

I've been not myself for so very long,

and I fear I'm loosing my friends here.

It's not my fault, I'm bipolar you see,

that really makes me a bit freaky,

but I want all to know, I think often of you all,

Hippie Kady, ArtMe Mary, Momie2lots, Kelley, and Kristie, and all of you I know,

to name you all, this page would grow, and grow!

So rather than name, one by one, I'll just write and say,

I just want you all to know, I've been strugling so,

and don't want our friendships to go away.

Life can be hard, and a strugle at best,

but as long as you all are my friends, I can deal with the rest.

This poem goes out to all my AC friends, especially those who have not heard from me in quite a while. I've been strugling with depression, and lots of pain throughout my body, and just having a real hard time writing. I have been reading many articles, but only commenting on a few. I hate when I get so down, it is so hard to do anything, and I just feel that no one wants me around. I hope you all are doing well, and hopefuly I will be back up to par soon.

Love and Hugs to all!

Carmella Mae

Dear Carmella Mae: Donald's observation is true. Moreover, go with what God gives you. Write an any point of your travels in the bipolar journey - back, forth, upside, downside, everywhere, no where: Just write what your mind is thinking. Don't be concerned about consistency or format - just flow the thoughts from your mind onto the paper. So pieces will be up, some will be down - some will be puzzling. Yet, the writing itself will reflect, in form and substance, the travels and travails of your thinking. Do not be depressed - celebrate the opportunity you have to share, through writing: to inform, to educate, to entertain. Be well, God loves you (smile), Only the Best, Michael

Sweetheart, take your time, breathe deeply and just ride them out. Your mind has more power to help you than you'll ever know!
