A Poem for Mom on This Day
A Mother's Day Poem
On this your special day
We looked and looked
For something special
That would show
Just how much we care
But every store was like a dare
We couldn't find just the right gift
We found Diamonds and pearls
But you are just not that kind of girl
We found baking and cooking stuff
But you do that enough
We wanted something special
For you on this day
And ordinary just wouldn't do
So put our heads together
And this is what we thought
We would write this poem for you
On the day we call Mother's Day
For you are rare
For someone who is so full of care
You take care of us
Day and night
Without so much as a complaint
With dinner on the table everynight
You are a delight
We know you work so hard
To make us all so very glad
You are the best
And Dad said so too
So for you
On this day
We show you
Just how much
You mean to us.
With a great big kiss
And a whole bunch of hugs
We give you this poem
On your one special day
