A Poem of Monumental Proportions

Adam Kamerer
This was meant to be a poem of monumental proportions,
A pontification prepared to scream silently at you while you sleep
So you wouldn't have to listen to it while you're awake,
But I've really found that I don't have the reserves
To conjure up the ways in which I hate to love you
And love to hate the things you love that keep you
From having time to love me the way you say you do.
Instead, I leave you with this, a blanket-statement
Before I damn myself to dancing with a phantasm of you:
I love you,
I miss you,
I need you,
Good-night.
