I look to tomorrow
Because it hurts too much today
Tomorrow will be better
For it will no longer be today
Tomorrow the sun will rise
And chase these dark clouds away
There will be hope tomorrow
But it's been crushed today
Tomorrow life will be different
If I can just make it through today
Tomorrow I will see clearer
I'll cry all my tears today
Tomorrow I'll have strength
Once I get past the weakness of today
Tomorrow there will be victory
When I forget the failure of today
So I'll hang on to tomorrow
And close my eyes against today
For tomorrow will be better
It will no longer be today
Because it hurts too much today
Tomorrow will be better
For it will no longer be today
Tomorrow the sun will rise
And chase these dark clouds away
There will be hope tomorrow
But it's been crushed today
Tomorrow life will be different
If I can just make it through today
Tomorrow I will see clearer
I'll cry all my tears today
Tomorrow I'll have strength
Once I get past the weakness of today
Tomorrow there will be victory
When I forget the failure of today
So I'll hang on to tomorrow
And close my eyes against today
For tomorrow will be better
It will no longer be today

Post a Commentur poem will be used by the keynote speaker at a scholarship gala tonight. Thank u for ur gift.
i really like this poem- its honest. the hopefulness of looking towards tomorrow does nothing to ameliorate the pain we feel in the present, and you really captures those contradictory feelings. good work!
