For a Son
Oh blessed one how I do cry,
When I try to sing you lullabyes.
It is hard for me to speak,
When answers I still try to seek.
I brought you into the world this day,
I ask the Lord as I pray,
I know that he now worships me
Someday he may turn his back on me.
I will stand by you strong and true,
Although I still don't understand the things you do.
I ask you Lord to keep him safe,
Please a haven for him make.
I have to trust you until I die,
Although I will always ask you why.

Post a CommentA son should be proud to know hos mother feels this way.
I feel your anguish as another mother. God bless your son & may your heart find peace.
Nothing like a mother's love for her child. We can only pray that God protects our children and us as we raise them into adulthood.
