A Poetess Reveals Her Inner Muse

Description of Poetry as Woven Through Life

Erica Hidvegi
What I like about studying poetry is how diverse, not strict nor conforming it can be when approached with open mindedness. Longer? Shorter? Rhyming or not ? Clear visualization or a subtle version of one ? I think quality in conveying a profound message is more important, well not important because that implies a rigid framework, how about a satisfying element.

All of my poems have a satisfying element which leads to serve a greater purpose: teach and honor in some way those that touched my life. Those that inspired me to write light or dark, poetry or prose, fiction or non fiction, technical or versatile. My imagination is good therefore readers will be swept in and held captive until the right time surrender is strongly acknowledged and they are let go, a changed individual.

I like stepping outside of the box, obviously to explore other realms explained by carefully chosen words offering visuals and images no calm could bring on so profoundly ! In my dream-state and writing poetry from those nudges, I found veering from the original world & word is the only way I have grown into what and who I am today.

It is useful to cajole both a positive and negative reaction to emotional junk, that which has not been tolerated but pushed aside and not handled, just left alone, with realism. If it is an extension of an emotion, use rhyme accordingly but don't overuse its effectiveness, especially when writing story from poetry. This type of writing is the style of ones self-actualization techniques used to mature, think, connect, disengage, an instrument of the maturing process.

Midnight Bliss, Amiss . . .

Comforting night-time hours embrace,

the memories of you holding me-

eternally.

In your heart and in your soul,

my taste on you takes its-

toll.

On the wings of the owl,

that rules the night

a time without color,

for our sight,

just greys,

shades.

It is now light . . .

Midnight Bliss, is amiss
