A Prayer for Grace in the End Times

Shirley A Mandel
Oh Lord,
let nothing be to me
more important than You:
not food
or drink
or house
or pets
or poetry.

Help me to become detached
from the things of this world
in these coming last days of the age.

Let not one molecule
that exists on this planet
mean more to me than You.

Let me be happy when You appear.
Let me be ready to leave
at a second's notice.

I have my bags packed.
He's coming soon.

"A rose is a rose is a rose" is just another way of saying, "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

There's a train coming round. You don't need no baggage, just climb on board. Great poetry, Shirley.

I certainly hope The Lord is coming soon. Say the words for him just like you do and many others may be blessed.
