A Prayer for Help Shared with My Friends
Good Lord.
good idols
are slipping
quietly into my life,
things like
Christian poetry,
Christian books
and ministry.
Oh please
help me to rid myself
of all idols
both good
and bad.
Revive me
for you,
and magnify yourself
in my eyes.
Give me spiritual spectacles, Lord,
thick ones,
and I don't even care
if I look like a geek.
So please,
please
help me Lord,
now and forever more.

A little note to my regular readers: I know that I'm a little behind on giving people page views and comments. It is because I have been right sick the past week. But rest assured, I will get on it presently. Went to the ER and got a new medication and am feeling much better. See ya soon. Shirley
