A Prayer for a Lost Soul I Met at Wal Mart

A Letter of Concern About Another Person to God

Shirley A Mandel
Dear Lord,
I met a lost lady
at Wal Mart today,
an employee who
flat-out refused
to help me to find an article of clothing
that I despritely needed
to get through this cold winter.
And it was right there
in her assigned area
a few steps away.

I got upset.
I got rude.
And I got harsh
with her.

Forgive me, Lord
for my impatience
with a working person.

And Lord,
I don't know
where she wants
to be in five years
or even if she wants to do
something better
than she's doing now.
And I don't know
where she is in her journey
towards you
or even if she's begun
to make her way
on the narrow path
to you,
but I'm asking you
to meet her
where she is
and to give her
what she needs
psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.
Just give her what she needs now,
Sweet God.

Amen

Love

Shirley

What compassion, Shirley! Yes, we all go over the brink at times, when pushed to the wall. After all, we are humans with fallibilities. Words from the bottom of your heart and He will understand and respond as He knows best! Take it easy - siva
