"I will take refuge under your wing
until the disaster has passed."
until the disaster has passed."
Dear Lord,
the greatest disaster of my life
is my broken relationship,
broken like a brittle old bone.
But it is not a clean break, Lord
because my heart hurts
for the suffering
caused by their old age diseases
and that they are dying alone.
So sad.
Please have mercy
on these two foolish elderly people
who have pushed
their whole family away,
including me.
So sad.
"Pray for us sinners," Jesus.

Post a CommentSo very deep and touching.
It takes a strong person to forgive and then, to pray for their attackers.
What a blessing it is in my life as well to know that we can pray for help for all of us--that I, a sinner, can receive mercy and that I, through the strength of Christ, can forgive others and love them anyway. What a blessing! :)
Very kindly:)
Shirley, I wish you could take one deep breath and let it go and release all your emotional pain.
Oh Shirley, this is sad indeed. Very beautifully written.
Very touching!
A difficult place, Shirley. "Grive not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed until the day of redemption. Lay aside all bitterness, anger, wrath, clammer, and evil speaking, with all malice. Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ sake has forgiven us." Is easy to say but difficult to walk. But from God comes the power.
Shirley, Prayer is the key. We always hurt the one's we love the most, strange, but it seems the old saying is true. I guess because blood is thicker than water we take and take, but if we stay humble we'll reap our reward, even though it's hard sometime to be humble, we're only human. But God want put more on us than we can bear.
I agree with Delicia.
