A Great Television for the Den or Bedroom that Won't Drain Your Wallet

Everyone is looking for a good deal during these tumultuous financial times, and luckily major electronics retailers are eager to offer us one. A perfect example is the Samsung LN32A330, a 32 inch flat panel LCD HD TV. This widescreen television has seen reasonable price drops recently and has quickly become a top selling item. Because of its popularity I was inclined to get my hands on one. I'm going to let you know just how well it has performed for me and if it is worth your hard earned money.

Product Overview:

The exterior styling is that of a typical flat panel TV from Samsung. It has a black bezel framing its 32 inch screen. The bottom portion of the frame is interrupted by the company logo and the on button. The speakers span the complete left and right frames and blend in quite well. The included stand is sturdy and compliments the set's lines. This is a very slim model and has great "curb appeal". It really looks like a pricier set.

This Samsung is a high definition television which produces a picture resolution of 720p which isn't what they consider "full HD". I didn't find this to be an issue with this screen size. To fully take advantage of a 1080p television you would want at least a 37" screen or larger, so don't let this stop you from buying. The picture is bright, and I had to actually adjust the brightness down when I got it home from the store. The contrast ratio is 8000:1 and produces decent shades of black; however I have seen much better for slightly more money. The sound quality has a decent range and doesn't sound too tinny, I would rate it average. I hooked mine up to the preexisting surround sound system I have set up and wouldn't dream of going back.

It has decent connectivity for a 32" screen. Most will be satisfied with 2 HDMI ports, a couple of component inputs, AV and a PC input. I tested the PC input with my laptop and had no trouble using this as a huge monitor. It worked out great for playing movies I had on my PC.

Product Value:

Ultimately this would make a great stylish addition to the average consumer's home. Thanks to its ultra thin body the LN32A330 is ideal for a bedroom or dorm room. With the average price in major electronics stores and at online retailers pegged just over $500 I would consider this a very reasonable deal.
