Fuzzi Bunz offer parents a leak free, rash free and disposal free way of diapering. They are easy to clean, care for and use. Fuzzi Bunz have quickly become the favorite diaper for the modern day family. A lot of people consider Fuzzi Bunz to be the world's most modern cloth diaper and have seen that more and more "mainstream" families have turned to cloth diapering because of them.
Price: @ $17.95 per diaper, if you buy in bulk you can receive special discounts! While a little more pricey then other cloth diapers out there, Fuzzi Bunz have a great resale value and may be sold up to the price you bought them at! Plus they also are such good quality they can last you through two kids or more! J
Resale Value: It is excellent. If you choose to resell them. Diapers go for almost the price of new ones! If you keep your diapers in good condition some people will pay top dollars for these great diapers!
Laundering:
Wash your Fuzzi Bunz before your first use. (this helps make them even more absorbent and helps seal the pul (waterproof material). Always wash the diapers after each use - a quick rinse and then hanging them to dry without a proper wash will not remove the urine odor. If you're dealing with a dirty Fuzzi Bunz, hold it over the toilet and shake off any solid waste. You can rinse any remaining poop off the diaper if you like, but you do not have to. Remove the insert before storing.
Fuzzi Bunz and all your other diapers can be washed together.
COLD soak with 1/2 cup baking soda
HOT wash with 1/4 cup detergent.
You may also add 1/4 cup white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser, or put it in a Downy ball for release during the cold rinse. This will further neutralize odors and will soften your diapers without adding any residue build up.
We highly recommend that you hang your FBs to dry - they will be dry within an hour or two. This saves on energy and will prolong the life of your diapers. Do NOT use bleach on your Fuzzi Bunz! This will eat away at the fabric and significantly shorten their lifespan. Fuzzi Bunz should not stain. Certain diaper rash ointments (like Desitin) will stain - beware of this if you use these products, especially if you want your diaper to stay stain free. A lot of moms use fleece or flannel liners inside their diapers to keep them even more stain free. Liners cost only pennies and are a great idea if you plan to use your diapers on more then one child or even resell them!
Ease of Use: These diapers are one of the easiest brands of diapers to use! They are simple to put on and easy to adjust to your child's personal size. Most dads even prefer this kind of diaper because it is easy for them to figure out! It is a no-hassle diapering system.
1: Stuff the pocket with your favorite insert or pre-fold diaper. (you may need to experiment on types of inserts or pre-folds to find one that works for you!)
2: Snap on the diaper and go!
Many moms stuff the diapers right after washing and have a stack of them ready at all times for easy diaper changes. Moms or dads can just grab a new diaper, snap it on and go!
Absorbency: Because Fuzzi Bunz are a pocket diaper they can be stuffed to your own child's abosorbency level! A parent can add more stuffing for night time and less for day. When a baby wets, the urine goes through the first layer of fleece and is wicked away and absorbed by the insert or cloth diaper inside. The fleece almost immediately dries leaving your baby feeling dry even for long periods of time. When the Fuzzi Bunz get soiled, they need to be changed just as any other diaper. Fuzzi Bunz are a favorite for nighttime diapering because in the morning although the diaper inside is soaked, the baby and bed are dry.
Special Uses: Diapers are often used without an insert for swim diapers. These diapers may also be used as covers for pre-folds or fitted diapers!
Comfort:Fuzzi Bunz are are the trimmest cloth diaper I've found, while not being *so* trim, that they won't hold in leaks. Diaper fits great on almost any shape child. Because it uses special snaps you can adjust your child's size without leaving red marks around their stomachs or legs. Fuzzi Bunz are also a lot less bulky then other brand cloth diapers because you can stuff them with your own absorbency needs. The fleece liner feels soft on children's tushes! J
Cuteness factor: Fuzzi Bunz do not come in many designs. But every so often the company will come out with a print. Yet it is easier to find a color rainbow of colors to choose from.
My Favorite Feature: The snaps of the diaper! Having a snapping diaper is ideal for having a toddler! My darling little son who just turned one also has just learned to undo the Velcro on his other brand diapers. Fuzzi Bunz are one of the only diapers I can place my son in without the fear of him removing the diaper throughout the day!
My Least Favorite Feature: I am sad they do not come in more adorable prints as other brand cloth diapers. I also am not too fond of the elastic. The elastic comes a little loose on the diapers from extended wear. I have had to replace the elastic in some of my stash, and while it is easy to do, it gets a little annoying after awhile.
Rating: * * * * * 5 stars!
Where to Get Them: Fuzzi Bunz can be bought online at most cloth diapering stores. They are also commonly found on eBay or cloth diapering resale boards or stores. A lot of baby boutiques around the nation are also selling these great diapers. .
