Many brides choose their types of wedding shoes as a result of one specific pair catching their eye. They usually look delicate and beautiful and go with the dress perfectly... but they might not seem so appealing after an hour of standing in a church or registry office. In fact, by that time they may be causing her excruciating pain. The lesson to be learned is that you have to feel comfortable and narrow down the types of wedding shoes that you could wear all day and choose from those.
The following types of wedding shoes may appeal to you and give you a little more information as to those that you should shop for when the time comes:
Flats - A few years ago, you could not buy flat types of wedding shoes for love nor money but as fashion and demand changes, so does availability. There are some gorgeous flat shoes designed specifically for weddings now so you should look into the possibility of buying them because they do tend to be the most comfortable
Stilettos - If you are one of those few women that always wear stilettos and feel comfortable in them then go for it, but if you are not then you may want to consider either buying them months in advance to wear them in or considering other types of wedding shoes. They are uncomfortable if you are not used to them and this could ruin your big day.
Court Shoes - Court shoes tend to be comfortable because they enclose the foot and yet look classy as well. They often need some wearing in but are suitable and comfortable for wearing all day. There are varying heel heights so when choosing types of shoes in this vein you will need to assess whether you can walk in them well or not.
Sandals - This encompasses a wide range and several types of wedding shoes. They tend to be pretty, decorative and affordable but may not be comfortable, depending on the straps and the height of the heel. As such, you should try them out for a few steps when weighing up whether you could wear them all day or not.
