A Quick and Inexpensive ZOMBIE Halloween Costume for Women and Girls

1. You will need an old , long gown. Look in your closets, attics or basements. Visit your nearest thrift shop or ask a friend to donate a gown that no longer has any good use. Depending on the style of the gown you may also want to locate an old jacket. Now the fun part begins! Rip in several places. A good idea is to tear at the seams. Wrinkle it up. Roll it around in your backyard for a nioce dirty look. Pay extra attention to the bottom of the gown. Make sure it is ragged and extra dirty, as you, the ZOMBIE queen have been walking through cemeteries for eons. Splatter some fake blood across the front of the gown for an extra special touch and shows you mean business.

2. With white or gray make-up cover your face, neck, hands and any other exposed skin areas. For a bloodless look you can go with a whitish blue makeup. With black or brown make-up blend around your eyes for a sunken-in look. Do the same with the hallows of your cheeks, around your jawline and down your neck. Next some brown or green make-up should be randomly applied to your face, neck, hands and any exposed flesh. This will give the illusion of mossy, dirty, old rotting flesh.

3. Now lets not forget that ZOMBIES eat the living and apply some fake blood around your mouth. Don't be neat...ZOMBIES have no manners when it comes to ripping apart a human. Some blood running from your mouth down your neck is a nice touch as well as bloody fingers and hands (you DID have to hold your victim in place to rip its flesh from its bones didn't you?)

4.Teeth...or lack of... Black wax or the fluid black-out works great. A creepy effect includes blacking out half a tooth, moving on to the next tooth and shorten that one up by applying only on the bottom edge of the tooth, then black out the entire next one or two teeth. Start off center of your teeth as you don't want a uniform look.
5. ZOMBIES haven't combed their hair in eons... so mess that hair up. Tease it in the messiest way possible. Attach some leaves and small twigs to your hair to give the "just crawled out of my grave" effect. There are many different ways to attach, for example use bobby pins or super holding hair spray. While your at it...attach some of leaves and twigs to your clothing as well.

REMEMBER...ZOMBIES are not pretty... they are pretty scary... So the dirtier, bloodier, and older you look the BETTER!!!! Have fun with this! Happy Halloween Haunting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
