Digital cameras manufactured earlier were of low resolution and inadequate quality and were suited for reproducing pictures on low resolution devices such as computer screens for web access. The P & S type of cameras from Olympus had a higher resolution than most other cameras prevalent then.
By the year 2000, when Olympus came out with models of two and three mega pixel resolution, there was no looking back for digital cameras and the bench mark for quality had been set. Today, camera means digital camera by default, thanks to Olympus.
User friendly features
Most camera users are amateurs and want easy access to all the important features needed to shoot pictures.
Olympus camera technology ensures all features, including setting flash, deleting pictures are done with the use of just one button. There is no need to search and mess around with cables for printing snaps stored in the camera.
For amateurs an irritating situation is to find that some pictures appear blurred after they are printed. The Olympus technology stabilizes and removes blur caused by camera shake or moving objects at the time of shooting itself.
Sometimes the ambience may require different shutter speeds to capture sensitive images and here again the Olympus technology of stabilizing images while shooting adds great value.
The captured images are almost always crisp and clear. The LCD screen allows a preview of pictures even in inadequate conditions light and very often the flash may not be required to shoot in these conditions.
Robust and elegant
The options of auto and manual modes along with the facility to zoom the high quality lens ensure that the photographer with an Olympus model is never faced with a situation of helplessness when the capturing of a scene is irresistible.
Again the packaging of the camera with appropriate seals and gaskets ensures you can shoot the Olympus in rain, snow or sunshine without a care.
Of the various models, the Olympus SP-350 packs great features in its elegantly compact body. The owner of this model can expect to use it any time whether in poor light, during night hours, or under adverse weather conditions.
With experience and confidence, one can fully utilize the thirty or more configuration settings to personalize the camera to suit your own preferences so that the pictures you shoot have your personal 'stamp' on them.
