We never forget our first love. We hear that all the time growing up, but never really grasp what it really means until it happens. If you can just forget, well my friend that just wasn't love. The late nights, the smiles, the tears, the months, the years, the laughs, the sorrows, the days that never seem hollow. Memories that last us an eternity. Love is such a strangely beautiful emotion. It can creep up on you without warning and we try to fight it off thinking that it cannot be. Soon, we become more accepting of this foreign feeling. Before long it has consumed us. It is this love that keeps us going when everything else will tell us to quit.
Our partner becomes a part of us. A little piece of heaven on Earth that we can't imagine being with out. It's the little things they do that endear them to us so very much. The way they smile when their nervous, the way their voice pitches when their excited, the way they drive, to the way they stretch in the morning. It's the little things that other people would call imperfections that we find so utterly entrancing.
Mannerisms begin to rub off on one another. Saying and doing things the way they would. It becomes a part of you.
Just like they have become a part of you. Everyone we love becomes a part of us, just as we become a part of them. Sometimes those pieces of them that have become pieces of you are the hardest to get over. The sayings, actions, inside jokes that all make you flash back to their beautiful face.
The wonder, beauty, and joys of love are something we will never ever forget. Even when that is all we wish we could do. When the beautiful ride of love comes to an end and the heartbreak begins, it's the things that made you happiest that will crush you. The simple knowledge that you will wake up the next morning and they won't be laying there next to you. Never feeling the sensual texture of their skin again. At these times it can move even the most reserved person to tears.
Yet, I say embrace it. Embrace every single tear that falls from your face. Even if your heart is shattered into a million pieces, you have seen true and utter beauty. That beauty is love. You have seen something so fantastic it has driven people to the ends of the Earth. You have experienced something that people die wishing they could have known. You may feel at your lowest of lows, but you have lived the highest of highs. It is these loves that appear throughout our lives, and the heartbreaks that follow, that shape us into the people we are today. Your heart maybe broken today, but tomorrow is a new adventure. Love is the adventure that will never truly end. Embrace every second.

Post a CommentBet you made a ton of money off this shetty post, huh?
It's most sad when you've fell for someone who doesn't know how to love you back because they have a wall that can't be taken down. Even with that knowledge, you still fall for them. In the end, it's the person that have loved for once in their life is the person that actually lived life.
