A Recap of Army Wives for June 27, 2010

Denise gets a 9-1-1 call from a kid who says he's in a car and his mom needs help. The boy says his name is Taylor, but the phone disconnects before Denise can get any other information. Denise tells her supervisor about it, but he dismisses it as a prank. Any experienced dispatcher, especially a supervisor, should be concerned about a call like that. Regardless of whether or not he took it seriously, they have no location for the boy and no answer on call back. The boy finally calls 9-1-1 again and tells them that he's in a field, which doesn't help much.

Pamela is still running radar with the world's most boring police partner when Denise calls Pam and tells her the story. Pam convinces her boring ass partner to go to the address that Denise cross referenced from the phone number. No one answers the door. Pam finds out from a neighbor that an army family lives there. Denise calls Frank and he confirms their names and the fact that they have a kid named Taylor, age 7. Taylor calls back again and Denise gets the license plate number from him. His cell phone loses charge and cuts off after he tells her there are no land marks around, just grass. He tells her they were on their way to Aunt Lottie's.

Meanwhile Pam and partner drive all over the place looking for the accident scene. They finally find a place called Loretta's Day Care, or something along those lines. Bam! They've found Aunt Lottie! So, boring partner guy figures out that the boy's mom must have taken a short cut from her house to the day care center. He drives along the route, and they roll up on the wrecked car. They radio the paramedics. In the end, Pam and Denise save the day.

At the doctor's office, Joan is told that she has traumatic brain injury from her last tour of duty. I'm still unclear about what that means. It sounds awfully serious. Any brain injury is bad news, right? Anyway, they tell Joan that she should avoid stress and go on light duty. She's also not allowed to drive. Michael tells her she cannot deploy with her unit. She's totally disappointed.

It's "Day 99", which means Fort Marshall hasn't had a fatality in 99 days. If they make it to day 100, the soldiers will be rewarded with a day off. Roxy orders extra shrimp for the Hump Bar with the hope that there will be a celebration if they reach their goal.

Trevor is training his troops, including Jeremy Sherwood. Someone's weapon accidentally fires and hits Jeremy. I'm so excited! Will they finally kill off ole Jeremy? God, I hope so. Lord knows they shoulda offed him when we heard his weapon fire during last year's season finale. And wouldn't it be wonderful if he's the fatality on day 99?But, to my disappointment, Jeremy's helmet caught the bullet. Damn it! How many times will this mama beater escape death?

We won't get another new episode for two weeks. The preview looks dull. Joan and Roland argue because Roland doesn't quite trust Joan with the baby now that he knows about her brain injury. Also, it looks like Denise is getting close to delivery time.
