A Recession. Ya Think?

Ok does the government unilaterally think we are all stupid? No, that's the wrong question. It should be, how stupid does the government think we are? It took the government, our officials a year to admit that we've been in a recession for over a year now. Ya think? What gave it away? Was it soaring gas prices? Deregulation of practically every government entity put in place to help the average American? Perhaps it was the fact that the foreclosure rate has been growing exponentially for about THREE years. Or maybe, just maybe it was the lack of jobs here in the US because practically every company based in the US received incentives to send our jobs to other countries contributing to the rising jobless rate?

Stevie Wonder could see that we've been in a recession for alot longer than a year. Are we supposed to do backflips because the incompetent Polson, employee of the Uber Incompetent Bush2 ( or should I say Cheney because I don't believe that DUBYA has run anything but his mouth for the past 8 years).

If you think I'm angry, you would be correct in that assessment. As my mama would say "I'm hotter than fish grease". And you should be angry too. Well not all of you. Certainly not the Hedgefund people, AIG, and all the other Golden/Platinum parachuted folks who got away with murder. They killed our dreams, our hopes, our lives, the futures we planned for our children. And they were upset because their income dropped from 17835 gazillion to 18 billion because of their greed. Financial vampires who bled this country dry, sucked the life out of every average citizen.

And then ... oh yeah and then there were those that voted against the President Elect because he said we needed "to spread the wealth around". Oh heck no! What was he thinking? I submit for your observation that "the wealth" is held by a mere 5% of Americans. The other 95% of us are footing the bills for them. So why should one guy who's sitting on his 85 foot yacht with a heliport be bailed out by me? He stole more from us TODAY than any of us will make in a lifetime.

So now you're all Joe the Plumber (who's name isn't Joe and he doesn't have a plumber's license.) Like he's going to make $250,000 a year. Hate to disappoint you, but few of us will this year. In fact, most of us will be fortunate to just have a job.

I'm already stressed to levels that would kill most people or at least render them catatonic. And now I have to wonder if my husband will have a job next year, if we will be able to keep our home, if we will be able to help our children in college, if we will be able to send our youngest to college. What will we have for our retirement? Will we live paycheck to paycheck? How will we pay for my medications? My surgeries? My doctor's visits?

Yeah, please President Obama, spread the wealth. I don't want a handout, a bailout like that 700 billion, about to reach the trillions that the corporations received, then deceived us about what it would be used to do. I just want this foot off my neck, this boot out of the middle of my back. Could someone at least get my face out of the mud? I just want to be able to stand. Can you at least just give me a hand?
