A Recovering American Soldier

A Year of Poems: Day Three Hundred and Forty-Five

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
I received a Christmas card today
That had a note inside
It said to send an extra card
And it filled my heart with pride!

Because many recovering soldiers
Can't celebrate the holiday
So if we send them a card
They'll know we care and for them we pray!

Send them a card
To the address below
And show your appreciation
To a G.I. Jane or Joe!!!

Soldiers make the ultimate sacrifice so that we live in peace. They deserve more than others to receive our gratitude and prayers - siva
