A Relationship

Janet Trieschman
We meet,
We danced,
He continued to call.

We dated, We studied,
We graduated college.
He bought a ring.

I never wore it,
I never saw it,
He said he'd pawn it.

He wasn't happy.
He said I was the easiest thing to change.
I felt the pain.

Direct, powerful and that words "he said I was the easiest thing to change" reveals so much with such a careful use of words. Excellent!
