A Relationship Built from Osmosis

Donny C Davied
I miss my bro and sis

So many positive changes happening

Moments like this

I wish they would not miss.

I miss my sis

Cause she was the baby, the youngest

Which automatically gave

Her different status.

Others knew not to pick on her

Alternatively, hell, they'd endure.

Alas, I miss my bro though

Because he was a best friend to me

In addition, he would love what is going on

In my life now

Yet, neither can sis or he be

Brought back from the dead.

My bro and I had a list

Of accomplishments to hit

Before we reached that age

Where too late to turn around or change

Would make a difference

So I made it but where is he?

Baby sis and I

Early in bonding, there was one rule

Both of us first mattered to ensure

Hearts were not tattered.

A relationship sis and I observed

Absent of competition

Due to an agreement coming

And created from osmosis

Making sure

Sibling rivalry never a factor

Rather a bond arisen

From mutual respect and admiration

Where both just wanted the best to happen

Great poem! There's nothing like brothers and sisters. I miss mine too! :-)
