A Response to an Irrational Woman

Upon recognition of your intent to fire,
I've entered my notice of resignation
Effective immediately.

My resume speaks for itself
And no longer do I wish to remain
In what has become public service
There will always remain more benefit in the private sector.

And I will be blamed -
In your circle my name tarnished
- Damage control -

But like I said my resume speaks
And many are willing to listen
Without regret I say today I quit.

If only love paid severance
I'd be given stock options
