I love this blender by Hamilton Beach. I was looking for a blender that would fit my needs and I did not want a plastic jar container, I wanted a glass jar container, because I believe that a glass jar container is more efficient and sturdier than a plastic one. Sometimes with plastic jar containers, the ice can mix with the plastic when the contents are being blended.

I have used and purchased mostly plastic jar style blenders in the past and I wanted to try something new, because many times when I had used plastic jar style blenders, the plastic jar would slip off the base of the motor and I needed something sturdier, so I decided to try a glass blender.

While searching for the perfect blender to suit my needs, I wanted it to be in a good price range for me, so I went to Target and searched for a good blender. I looked at many different makes and models. While I was in the store, I called my daughter on the phone and asked her to look up on the internet each model that I was interested in to see what the reviews were on each one. When I asked her to look up the Hamilton Beach Wave Power 12 Speed Blender, it had rave reviews and the blender also looked great, was white in color, and it had a Dura Blend jar with an extra large 56 oz. capacity. I knew that I was going to like this blender. The price was around $34.99, which was a perfect price for me.

I was so excited to start using my new blender. I went home right away and put a combination of fruit and ice in the blender, pushed the button marked "smoothies", and immediately the Hamilton Beach Wave Power 12 Speed Blender started to blend the mixture quickly into a smooth consistency.

So many blenders that I had previously used did not crush ice very well, but the Hamilton Beach Wave Power 12 Speed Blender crushes ice fast and easy. This blender has a very strong motor and I could see the "wave-action" taking effect inside of the blender. I had the best smoothie that I could make at home that day and I absolutely love the glass jar container, because it works so much better than the plastic jar containers, and best of all, the glass jar did not fly off of the base!
