I have a friend who is one of those people who loves to lease cars. She traded in her old model for the new Honda Accord. She loved their sales slogan "Honda Accord, Built for the road and everything beyond it."
I don't allow sale slogans to make my decisions. But when my eyes fell on that sleek, red automobile, I became intrigued and was itching for those keys. Being a person who knows how to share, my friend tossed me the keys.
The first thing I found I loved was those soft, sleek leather seats. I love the smell of new leather and the feel of it. As I got into that drivers seat, it felt like I was being wrapped around by this soft leather. I loved the feeling.
As for its bigger size, no, it didn't scare me. I like big automobiles. The bigger the automobile the more they can haul and the more I can shop.
Now don't get me wrong when I call the 2008 Honda Accord big. It is by no means a SUV. It doesn't look like one, either. It is just a bit bigger than their older models, with what I consider a sleeker design. My friend agrees, too. She is not a SUV person. She has no kids to run to soccer games. In fact, she is a professional lady.
She told me that she had her pick of two styles when choosing the Honda. Style one was the ever popular 4 door sedan. We both agreed that would be a perfect alternative to those boring SUV's. The other was the style she choose, a 2 door coupe. At that time, I hadn't seen the sedan version. But I was still sure that I would have picked the coupe version, if I was so lucky to buy a new car.
As for the options my friend picked, she had a few choices. Of course, she choose the sun roof that is called a moon roof visor (helps reduces the noise of the wind), the navigation system with dial based system (seems they used to use a touch screen that caused glare according to the salesman) and she had a choice of a 5 speed automatic or a 6 speed manual. She choose the automatic. Good thing, because I can't drive manual cars. She also choose the fog lights, back up sensors (to help with parking), a back wing spoiler (she just loved the look of it), the chrome hub caps for her tires. She said she had more choices of side, back or front spoilers, too.
The navigation system looked complicated to me. Seems it is something my friend's husband likes. But I agreed that the blue tooth addition would make cell phone calling much safer. It is equipped to work with any phone with blue tooth capablities and her husband does make a lot of business calls while on the road.
As for the all important price, it seems the 2008 Honda Accord Ex-L coupe (the one my friend chose) began at a not so unreasonable price of $25,960. My friend pays $250 a month for her lease payment. A note here is that she has great credit and has dealt with the dealer in the past.
The last thing I noticed as we I got out of the 2008 Honda Accord, is the spacious back seat. Of course, it couldn't be the size of the sedan's version, after all it was the coupe model. Yet, it was big enough to generously transport two additional people or lots of shopping bags. I ended my visit with my friend warning her that she was driving the next time we went shopping and I want to see how fast we can fill up the backseat and maybe even the trunk.

Nice, I love your discription, has me thinking I can smell the leather seats. Plus that cutie looks like it is going 90 miles an hour just sitting there.
Nice car.
I LOVE Honda Accords, but I'm not sure I would ever want one. Great review! :)
