After the parade of nations in which most of the estimated 191 participating countries toward the inside Olympic stadium and drawn together in the center field the process avoiding the torch began. The Chinese being the people that strongly believe in the power of numbers founded essential to fall the pattern of the 8 / 8 of 2008 opening ceremony of the eight as part of the process for the opening show. The torchbearers pass the torch from one to the other in a running process around the interior of the national stadium the last to receive the torch was suddenly hoisted into midair and carried as he ran through space around the highest reach of the center of the Olympic stadium carrying the torch as this man ran through the air a video stream encompassing the upper center region of the stadium unrolled a virtual blanket revealing pictures of the torch relay process from around the world leading up to the end of the run at the Beijing Olympic Games.
When the torchbearer reach the final position in midair suddenly the torch itself arose from out of midair that would adhere to the center of the national Olympic stadium during the opening ceremonies itself this torch was not visible in any camera shot that anybody had there in the coverage of the event of this point this was definitely an engineering feat for the Chinese to pull off. When it came time to light the torch the final torch bearer lit the ending of what seemed to be a metal pipe that carried the flame itself up to the top of the stadium around the torch of fully illuminating the Olympic torch for all to see followed by an incredible fireworks show from miles around the stadium. It is true that the Olympics only happens once every couple of years but I believe for everybody that watched this opening ceremony last night that the man flying through the air and lighting the torch for the Olympic Games in the summer 2008 was something that people will not for get for a very long time. I am looking forward watching the rest the 2008 Olympic Games, go team USA!
