A Review of Aashirvaad Ready Meals Rajma Masala: Kidney Beans, Tomatoes, Spices and Gravy

Serves Three

Bridgitte Williams

I am not very familiar with Indian food, but a friend of mine gave me Aashirvaad Ready Meals Rajma Masala to try. I was intrigued. I am a kidney beans and chili fan. This dish looked similar, except without the meat. I could not wait to try it. I decided to write a product review about my experience. Here is what I discovered.

One Aashirvaad Ready Meals Rajma Masala is affordable. Around two dollars, depending on where you purchase this dinner at. It serves three. I like it as a side dish item. Many vegetarians like this meal. It is manufactured in a plant that processes only vegetarian foods. That is wonderful. This meal is packaged in a foil pouch. It has kidney beans, tomatoes, onions, salt, ginger, spices, tomato paste and other ingredients. Very interesting. You can cook this dish in the microwave, heat it up in a skillet or even boil the pouch in boiling water. I chose to use the microwave cooking method. I cut the pouch open, poured the contents into a large microwave safe bowl, heated on high for two minutes, stirred well and served this meal in bowls. It looked good and smelled terrific.

When I tasted Aashirvaad Ready Meals Rajma Masala, I liked it. The kidney beans are yummy. The tomatoes, tomato paste and spices are delicious. A rich gravy makes this dish special. And very interesting. It is different and creative. Vegetarians will appreciate the heartiness and flavor of this meal. I rate it four stars out of five stars. It is filling and rich. Meatless and amazing. One serving has 148 calories, 6.2 grams of total fat, 17 grams of total carbs, 2.5 of those are sugars and 6 grams of protein. The nutrition values may be a bit off. These are approximated values. This product is made in India. It is a quick microwave and affordable meal that tastes darn good.

I enjoyed trying this dish and writing this product review about it. A very unusual meal that satisfies those who love kidney beans, onions and tomatoes. This item does have a satisfaction and quality guaranteed or your money back promise. This dish is one hundred percent natural. It has no preservatives in it. Yep, preservative free. Fabulous. This one is a winner and fun to try. I have included a link in the resources and links area so you can find out more about this product. This brand also has other ready meals with chickpeas, potatoes and other veggies.

Indian chef Aarti Sequeira makes these dishes on the Food Network. Prior to that I had never even heard of these types of meals. They sound delicious, and your review of Indian food makes me even more curious about them.

Sounds good. I've tried some of these Indian bag foods, but not this one.
