I really like taking Alka Seltzer PM for nighttime relief because it works quickly and it is very effective. The Alka Seltzer is very effervescent, which basically means it bubbles a lot. I think the bubbles help make it taste better; it's almost like drinking a carbonated beverage. What I really like about Alka Seltzer PM is that it has a sleep aid to help you fall asleep. Each tablet contains 325 milligrams of aspirin and 38 milligrams of diphenhydramine citrate. The aspirin helps relieve pain, while the diphenhydramine citrate helps you fall asleep quickly.

Whenever I have a headache, body ache, or a minor ailment at night, I decide to take some Alka Seltzer PM. Beware, it does make you very groggy so you don't want to take it during the day unless you are able to take a nap. I make sure I have about two to three hours I can devote strictly to sleeping before I take the Alka Seltzer. It normally works in about 15 minutes to half an hour. The last time I took Alka Seltzer PM was when I had a really bad headache due to sinus pressure. I took one Alka Seltzer PM at about 9 P.M., and by 9:30 I was out like a light! Personally I like the sleep aid, but if you are a person who can get addicted to sleep aids, I would be very careful taking this or any drug that you can get addicted to. My personal experience with Alka Seltzer PM has always been great. It works quickly and I don't feel like I have to take it the next day. Alka Seltzer has been around for a long time and is a very trusted brand.
