The Brazilian striker Gilberto Silva reveled in scoring repeatedly for the Gunners. At certain times, when Henry wasn't present at the game, Silva acquired the captaincy of the team and has so far never disappointed any of the fans. The versatility of Silva on the field offers Cesc Fabregas freedom to move around without any pass interference.
I would rate the finest performance of the team at Reading which ended with a score 4-0. If the mid-field players get a hang of their skillful passes during the game, Arsenal has the capability to dominate the game even against a tough, formidable team. This game blew everyone away at the start as Henry puts a goal into net with his swiftness acting to his advantage. Later, Robin Van Persie and Alexander Hleb demonstrated their fine talents during the course of the game along with the defense being ultimately strong. The worst performance is surely the loss against Sheffield. Arsenal's defense was at its weakest and surely, no one was surprised after Arsenal let in a goal in the first minute.
Top goal of the Arsenal's season was scored by Robin Van Persie against Charlton and also the top free kick was scored by Robin too against Fulham.
I was overwhelmed with much excitement when Thierry Henry scored the clincher against Man U. Robin Van Persie scored an equalizer in the eighty third minute creating the stage for a stunning win.
One of the most disappointing moments of Arsenal's 2006/2007 season would be elimination of Arsenal from the Champion's league with the defeat to PSV. In the last tense minutes of the game, PSV scored a header, thereby knocking them out of the league.
In addition, Gilberto Silva missed a pivotal penalty against Bolton which can be regarded as one of the biggest disappointments in the season.
I really got annoyed watching Arsenal lose to West Ham Utd. This game really got onto my nerves because the strikes repeatedly couldn't be converted into goals even though they were bang on target.
I literally clapped my hands after watching Lehmann's ultimate save against Man United. This one save earned Gunners the game.
The previous season kept Arsenal fans at its feet for the most part. Nonetheless, this team has always radiated wonders and it will continue to do so. Some of the celebrations by players after scoring goals tickled my funny bone quite a lot of times. Also, resolve to win and dribbling skill-set have always were a part and parcel of the Gunners.
