A Review of Axe Body Spray for Men

Drew Bush
I've tried a few different cologne's and body sprays in the past, but I must say that Axe body spray is the best I have ever used. Axe was launched in the United States in 2002. Axe has created a number of TV commercials to market their product and it has become a top selling product. I bought my first can of Axe body spray about a year ago. It was called Essence. I was really impressed with the fragrance as well as the price. A 4 oz. bottle goes for under $4.00 at Wal-Mart. The best part is that it smells just as good as some of the top body sprays and colognes and it is much cheaper. When people smell it, they will think you bought a $40 or $50 top brand cologne.

Axe claims that it has created the products with women in mind. They combine a number of ingredients to create scents that women like the most. Some of the scents smell like chocolate, fruit, and leather. Axe has several different fragrances to choose from. I have only tried two different fragrances so far: Essence and Instinct. Between the two, Instinct is my favorite. The smell is a little lighter than the Essence which, in my opinion, is a little two strong. Even just one small spray will blow someone away. Instinct has a scent of leather which was created by mixing cardamom, amber, and Atlas cedar wood. It was launched this year. Essence came to the U.S. in 2003. When I went to the store, I tested the scent known as Fever and was not too impressed with that fragrance. This summer, a brand new limited edition fragrance came out and is called Summer. I tested it out and it was OK, but still not one of my favorites. Other scents include Touch, Pulse, Click, Vice, Dark Temptation (has a chocolate-smelling fragrance), Bullet, Recovery, Boost, and Shock.

Axe does not just have body sprays. It sells deodorant sticks, roll-ons, anti-perspirants, aftershaves, shower gels, and just recently it started selling shampoo. I have yet to try any of these other products, but I will definitely try them in the nearer future since I have been fairly impressed with some of the body sprays.

I really like wearing Axe when it's hot outside because you can smell the spray instead of sweat. As with any deodorant or deodorant spray, Axe should not be used as a cover up for body odor. If you got a hot date tonight, consider trying out Axe body spray. I'm sure your date will be impressed.

I don't like products that play upon the sex bit, but I like the sound of Essence according to your article. I'm sure my wife would say I need something STRONG!

My teen son uses all Axe products and I love the smell on him. The deodorant seems to be a bit harsh for his underarms, but that might be because of his age. Other than that, I agree that it's a great product. :) Luckily, he doesn't attract as many women as the commercials say he will!
