A Review - Betty White's If You Ask Me

Tonya Gurr

For anyone who is a fan of Betty White, and really is there anyone who isn't, her newest release If You Ask Me is one that you wont want to miss. The book is 259 pages with a lot of pictures interspersed, but I could not put it down. Betty has over 50 years in show business experience, and has kept audiences laughing at looking at the brighter side of life for generations now.

The book talks about her early days on the Mary Tyler Moore show, her role as Rose on The Golden Girls, and her latest TV success Hot in Cleveland. There are also many personal notes about her deceased husband Allen Ludden, and others that she has come in contact with over the years including Robert Redford, George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt.

Betty also imparts some wisdom about aging, and how to stay successful at what you do. Her love of animals is apparent throughout the book, and I was impressed to learn that she is a volunteer at the zoo, and also an honorary forest ranger with national recognition. She talks about growing up, and speaks lovingly of her mother and father.

Betty White is a good ole California girl, and she has definately won the hearts of Americans young and old alike. If you have the opportunity, check this one out! It is a great read and chock full of good stories and will probably bring back as many memories for you as it did for me!

I always am surprised at Betty's success as I thought Cloris Leachman was the better actress of those in their age bracket. But Betty is cute and I'm going to put this on my Goodreads booklist since your review was so interesting.
