A Review of Brothers Four Pizza Located in Center Moriches, New York

When my husband and I first moved to East Moriches, NY, we weren't sure where we were going to go for our local pizzeria. Either our expectations are way too high for a slice of pizza or we just couldn't find good pizza anymore. I drove by Brothers Four Pizza in our local town and figured we would give them a try. I am sad to say, this wasn't a good idea.

The atmosphere as soon as walk in is pretty depressing. It is like stepping back in time to an old pizza shop that was never renovated. Right off the bat, I was turned off to this pizza place. However, since I was already there, I placed my order. It took forever to be ready. I couldn't figure out what was taking so long because there was only one other customer waiting besides me. Who knows, maybe they had some nig catering job they were preparing for. I just couldn't see it though. Once I got my order, I paid and quickly left.

What I don't like about this pizzeria is that there is no parking lot. Yes, you can park in the front of the store but since they are located right on Montauk Highway, good luck trying to parallel park. I am from Queens and consider myself a pretty good parker, but I still felt pressure when I was trying to pull in while the traffic had to come to a stop. I prefer pizzerias that have their own parking available to their customers.

The service was also something that was left to be desired. When I had originally called to place my order and ask about the parking situation, the girl on the phone wasn't very friendly. She seemed bothered with my question about the parking. Even when I came into the store, the men behind the registers weren't friendly. With a name like Brothers Four, I would have thought this was a family restaurant and they would have been friendlier. It was not a good first impression for someone who is new to the neighborhood.

Now moving on their food. I could overlook all of the previous mentions about parking and friendlier service if the food was something to brag about. However, here again I was completely disappointed. The pizza was just so so and the Italian hero that my husband ordered was disappointing. Maybe coming from Howard Beach (Italian food central), I am extremely picky about my pizza and I am not even Italian! The food was tasteless. The sauce could have been thicker and the pizza crust could have been better too. I would not recommend the Brothers Four Pizzeria to anyone. This was two years ago when we first moved into the neighborhood and we haven't been back since.
