A Review of Chef Swaggers Kitchen Classics Onion Soup and Dip Mix

MSG Free

Bridgitte Williams

I love onion dip and I also use onion soup mix in many of my favorite homemade recipes. Recently, I came across a box of Chef Swaggers Kitchen Classics Onion Soup and Dip Mix in the soup mixes section of my favorite local Dollar Tree store. The price was so right. I decided to buy this mix, try it out and write a product review all about it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought one box of Chef Swaggers Kitchen Classics Onion Soup and Dip Mix for only one dollar. That very low price is quite astounding. Each box has three large packets in it. I am a fan of using dry onion soup and dip mix in so many recipes. I was not familiar with the Chef Swagger brand name, but at that low price, I was more than willing to try it out! I discovered that this mix is MSG free. Wow! How great is that? I have many relatives that can't eat MSG food products, so this was a delightful fact about this mix. This mix is also low cal, low fat and cholesterol free. Amazing! I could not wait to taste it!

Of course, the fat content depends on what ingredients that you add to this product. If you use fat free sour cream, this mix can make quite a healthy and diet friendly dip. I did just that. Let me tell you, this dip was spectacular. Really creamy, total rich onion flavor and delicious. I loved my onion dip made with this mix. It got rave reviews from all that tried it. It really takes very little of this mix to make a flavorful onion dip with sour cream. Excellent. I also used this mix in a homemade beef roast recipe. I added it to the rub and my roast was fabulous. I really love this product. It is easy to cook with, very affordable and so tasty. I was pleased with its performance in my kitchen.

I rate Chef Swaggers Kitchen Classics Onion Soup and Dip Mix four stars out of five stars. I will be buying it again. This product goes very far and saves me money, not to mention time spent in the kitchen. One serving has only 20 calories. 0 of those calories come from fat. One serving has 0 grams of total fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0 mg's of cholesterol, 790 mg's of sodium, 5 grams of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of protein and 3 grams of sugars. This mix does contain soy.

I loved trying this dip and soup mix and writing a food product review all about it. It is high in quality and so affordable. The Chef Swagger brand also has spaghetti sauce mixes, health foods, beans and rice, Italian dressing mix, brown gravy mix, ranch dressing mix, rubs and marinades. Awesome! This onion soup and dip mix is a winner!
