I love salmon and when I came across a Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Pouch in the unrefrigerated meats sections of my local Dollar Tree store, I was thrilled. I am a big fan of many Chicken of the Sea food products. I decided to buy this salmon pouch, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered.
I bought one Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Pouch for only one dollar. Wow! I loved that very low and budget friendly price. One dollar salmon? No way. Way! Each pouch has one serving. This salmon is skinless and boneless. Fantastic! It is also very low cal, low in fat, rich in omega 3 and protein. Awesome. I like getting omega 3 into my daily diet. This salmon is ready to serve and eat, right from the pouch. I could not wait to taste it1
The pouch is bright pink and it has a picture of the salmon on the front of it. This is a heart healthy dish. You do not have to drain this salmon or crunch up any bones. Fabulous! I tore the pouch open and squeezed the salmon out into a dish. It does take a bit of hand strength to squeeze this salmon out, I admit. But, it is worth it. No bones to grind up and already drained. In fact, this salmon is quite dry. I decided to use this salmon in a salmon salad homemade recipe. I added mayo, lemon pepper, diced iceberg lettuce, seafood sauce, chopped boiled eggs, a dash of sea salt and black pepper, stirred well and served. This salmon is delicious. It performed very well in my salad. All that tried it loved it.
What you have to keep in mind about this product is that it is quite dry. Adding moist ingredients help it. You can even buy a few of these pouches and add eggs and cracker crumbs, spices and flour and make salmon patties out of it. This salmon is great and tasty. I rate it three and one half stars out of five stars. It is easy to work and cook with. I will be buying it again. At one dollar a pouch, it is affordable. Now, honestly, the canned salmon brands are better, but you have to drain them and crush up bones. If you do not want to have to do that, this product works nicely.
One Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Pouch has only 70 calories in it. Just 20 of those calories are from fat. One pouch has 2 grams of total fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 1 gram of polyunsaturated fat, 0 grams of monounsaturated fat, 25 mg's of cholesterol, 360 mg's of sodium, 0 grams of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of sugars and 13 grams of protein.
I enjoyed trying this salmon and writing a product review all about it. It is tasty and so dollar saving. You can throw this pouch in a bag lunch with a few ketchup packs and crackers and have a low cal lunch. Since no refrigeration is required, this dish is portable. Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Pouch is a winner and I recommend it. Not the best, but it will do.

A wonderful food review. Thanks!
Thanks for the review, I think I will try it.
Fantastic article as usual, but I am no fan of salmon. I am not sure if this is due to the way it was prepared, because I love seafood, but for whatever reason it does not tempt my taste buds at all.
Thanks for the review, I've often wondered about those pouches! cheers :)
That should be healthy!
