Although I have many favorites at Christy's Restaurant, the reuben sandwich is at the top of the list. Lightly toasted rye bread covered in corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing and served with a side crunchy golden fries. Be prepared to eat this for 2 meals or to share with someone. The sandwich is huge and you get a hefty portion of fries as well.
The soups at Christy's Restaurant are always fresh. I have eaten their Chicken Noodle soup since I was a kid and I don't think it has changed one bit. The Stuffed Pepper Soup is hearty and more of a meal than a side. Christy's Vegetable Beef Soup has always been my grandma's favorite along with their Vegetable Barley soup.
The breakfast options at Christy's Restaurant cover all ends of the spectrum. From the hearty Crazy Bill's Eye Opener Special to the Sausage and Gravy over Biscuits, there is something to keep everyone happy. Other breakfast options at Christy's Restaurant include ham, sausage, or bacon and your choice of white, wheat, or rye toast. You can enjoy waffles, pancakes, or even an omelet. The Western Omelet is my husband's favorite.
The Children's menu offers many choices as well and the atmosphere is completely kid friendly. They offer high chairs and booster seats as your being seated. If you seat yourself the high chairs and booster seats are completely accessible for you to help yourself.
The service at Christy's Restaurant has always been prompt. Their waitress's are always friendly and happy to wait on their customers. Once you become a regular, they know you by name and often bring you your drinks before you even order. Christy's Restaurant offers you a step back from the fast paced world we live in and allows you to enjoy your meal in a calm and casual atmosphere. I would recommend Christy's Restaurant to anyone who lives nearby or who is just passing through.

Christy's Restaurant sounds like my kind of place! I love homemade soups; especially beef and barley. Takes me back to my childhood ;-) Great review! Next time I pass through Ellwood City, PA I'll have to make a stop at Christy's. Who knows, maybe I'll see you there?
Fantastic review - thanks
