A Review of Disneyworld's Animal Kingdom

Keith Dailey
Disneyworld has added yet another addition to their wide array of adventure parks and this one is even more unique and different compared to what they have given us in the past. Welcome to the new addition of Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom isn't just a regular adventure them park, it is also a great place for kids of all ages to learn more about animals and the environments they live in, as well as take a closer look into the world of dinosaurs. All the while, though, Animal Kingdom still keeps the traditional Disney package of feel-good shows and various exciting rides that everybody loves. Once you arrive, make sure to check out the visitor's center to find news on various special events that could be happening in the park during the day of your visit.

Take the Boneyard, for instance. Kids will get to play in a maze full of with exciting fossils. Anyone in the family who has ever wished to become a palaeontologist will simply love this one-of-a-kind experience! If you enjoy adrenaline rushes and thrilling excitement, then DINOSAUR may be more up your alley. Other areas in the Animal Kingdom's Dinoland section also include the Cretacaeous Trail, the TriceraTop Spin, and even a musical Disney show based on the movie "Finding Nemo". Along with these attractions, you will also be able to find Asian brown tortoises and storks lurking around the corners.

If you want to learn how to handle birds and even see these beautiful birds such as the American Bald Eagle or the macaw, do not miss the Flights of Wonder section. But be careful not to get too close to the birds, though - you never know which one might bite.

For even more exciting thrills, pay a visit to the Kali River Rapids. As you raft down the Chakrandadi River, make sure to look out for geysers that rush out as you try and escape a jungle fire by traveling down a huge waterfall. Another rollercoaster ride of thrilling excitement is the Expedition Everest ride, where you will be riding a renovated steam train on the way to the Mount Everest base camp on a yeti-guarded shortcut.

Animals should never be forgotten, of course; it is Animal Kingdom, after all. Take a trip through the Maharajah Jungle to see the Anandapur Royal Forest of Southeast Asia and explore the ruins of this ancient palace, where various animals dwell.

Disney rides abound in the Animal Kingdom, but it is its theme of wildlife protection that makes this place truly special. Animal Kingdom serves as the ultimate educational experience for children on how to preserve wildlife, as a whole.
