A Review of Dove and Bath and Body Works Lotions

Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion for dry skin is a popular lotion that is widely available. As a fan of all Dove products, I picked up an eight fluid ounce bottle to try it out. I will compare Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion to Bath and Body Works body lotion in Velvet Tuberose scent in this multi product review.

When comparing the two lotions, Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion and Bath and Body works body lotion in Velvet Tuberose scent, I must admit that I prefer Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion . I honestly prefer any body lotion over Bath and Body Works body lotion, regardless of the scent. Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion is light, it absorbs quickly and easily into your skin and Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion has a nice fragrance that is not too strong. Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion is not greasy and it does moisturize for a long time. The packaging claims that it moisturizes for twenty four hours but I don't think that is accurate. In my opinion I would say it moisturizes for twelve hours. Dove is made by the Unilever company and is very affordable compared to bath and Body Works body lotion.. I also believe that it is a better moisturizer than any Bath and Body works lotion. I will continue to purchase Dove Nourishing Moisture Body Lotion . It is a great lotion.

I love the fragrances of Bath and Body Works body lotions generally, however they contain such a high concentration of alcohol that it kind of defeats the purpose of applying lotion, as alcohol does dry out your skin. I also feel that Bath and Body Works body lotions are extremely greasy, and they do not absorb easily. I am always hesitant to use a lotion that has a color other than white. I want touchable soft skin, not greasy slippery skin, so I never use straight Bath and Body Works body lotion. I mix equal amounts of an unscented lotion such as Suave Natural Oatmeal, which is fantastic, with Bath and Body Works body lotion to make it a little more skin friendly. I honestly only use Bath and Body Works body lotion if it is a gift. The Velvet Tuberose is a nice fragrance, but even after 'watering it down' it is still too strong, and very much like a perfume, that you might expect an older lady to wear. In my opinion Bath and Body Works body lotion is over priced and not a very good product.
