A Review of Dr. Wayne W. Dyer's Book The Power of Intention

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer's Book entitled "The Power of Intention: Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way" is a fascinating study of the all-encompassing field of intention that many people have come to love and take advantage of. From authors like Lynne McTaggart, who wrote the book "The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe," to the well know author Carlos Castaneda, who spent decades deciphering Mesoamerican Shamanism taught to him by Don Juan Matus, there is an overwhelming movement to re-communicate truth that was once well understood by the ancient of ancients.

In recent years this movement, to understand our truest perspectives in the world around us, has been communicated through many media formats. Acknowledging that we can interact with intention fields to better our conditions and bring hope to a new generation, who has been dazed and confused by our modern approach to reason and logic, Dyer goes beyond, and initiates those, willing to try, into a new realm of possibility and purpose.

The field of intention is utterly beyond the capacity for words to describe, as it is a purely spiritual force which interacts with consciousness itself. Dyer suggests that by aligning ourselves with the 7 faces of intention we are aligning ourselves with the first creative impetus that is responsible for our very existence. These 7 attributes should be understood and implemented in our daily living so that we may access and utilize its power to better our lives and the lives of those around us. These 7 faces are simple yet profound when understood from the all-creative universal mind perspective. They are as follows; Creative, Kind, Loving, Beautiful, Expanding, Endlessly Abundant, and Receptive. We are called to emulate these states to connect ourselves with the all-creative mind that intended us into being in the first place.

I strongly recommend this book as a study, not just a read! Once finished, I promptly shut the book, took a few more deep breaths, and started the whole book over again. Going back to chapter one, I was able to absorb even more of Dr. Dyer's message than the first time through. I began to take meticulous notes on what I was going to have to keep in mind as I journeyed through my days understanding this all pervasive vibration. As I've been implementing Dyer's ideas with the ideas from many of the "Law-of-Attraction" crowd, I have seen and experienced a definite improvement in my general attitude and capacity to believe in my own hopes and dreams. With a booster shot of confidence, a new resolve to remain in the flow of our creative world, and a general guideline to attainment provided by Dr. Dyer himself, I am now a co-creator with the universe around me.
