A Review of the Dunk an Egg Kit

Johanna Swith
Last week in preparation for the Easter holiday I indulged my inner child and colored Easter eggs. In this review I will share with other consumers my experience with the Dunk an Egg kit of Easter egg dye, in an effort to spread the word about this fantastic and easy method of coloring Easter eggs.

I purchased my Dunk An Egg kit at my local Wal-Mart for an unbeatable price of $1.88. I was enticed by this Easter egg dye kit because it contains nearly everything you need to complete your Easter eggs, with the exception of the hard boiled eggs, and 3 tablespoons of vinegar. The Dunk An Egg kit contains 5 color tablets, a wire egg dipper, 5 collapsible egg dye coloring cups, 24 stickers for making funny faces on your finished Easter eggs, 12 egg stands, which are easy to assemble and an egg drying tray. That is a lot of stuff for under $2 per kit!

I will admit I was slightly mislead, I did not read the packaging completely, and I thought this kit did not require any vinegar, as you do not add it to the red or purple dye tablets. This left me in a bind, and I did have to run over to the carry out and purchase a small bottle of white vinegar, as this is an item I normally do not have in the house.

I was really happy with the collapsible egg dye coloring cups, they are the perfect shape for dunking eggs. As almost everyone knows using your own coffee cups to color Easter eggs can be quite messy, and some coffee cups are not the right size for completely submerging the hard boiled eggs.

The Dunk An Egg kit is easy to use, it contains many great items for completing your Easter eggs and it is affordable. The included Easter egg dye tablets provide a great color and they are made from pure food coloring. This kit is not at all messy, it is easy to clean up after the project is complete and it is safe for children to use with proper supervision. I have been very happy with my purchase of the Dunk An Egg Easter Egg dye kit, I will purchase this kit again! I would also recommend this affordable, easy and mess free kit to others who plan on dying their own hard boiled Easter eggs.
