A Review of Entenmann’s Chocolate Loaf Cake: Made with Real Cocoa

Since 1898

Bridgitte Williams

I love chocolate cake and recently, when I came across Entenmann's Chocolate Loaf Cake, I was thrilled. This cake looked spectacular. I just had to buy it, try it and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought one Entenmann's Chocolate Loaf Cake for around four dollars. Each loaf cake has six generous servings in it. That is a decent dessert deal in my opinion. This cake is made with real cocoa. It is also low in saturated fat. I loved that. The box that this cake is in is white and brown. It has a see through window in it so that you can see the actual cake. When I looked closely at this dessert, my mouth was watering. I had to have it. I could not wait to taste it!

I discovered that Entenmann's cakes are baked fresh daily. Wonderful. When I tasted this dessert, I loved it. It is rich and moist. It has rich chocolate flavor. It's taste is total and pure chocolate cake heaven. That is exactly what you get with this product. It is simply a chocolate cake loaf. It has no frosting on it. Still, it is not dry. It goes well with milk and coffee. I like to have a piece of this cake for a mid morning treat or for a dessert after dinner. If having no frosting bothers you, you can frost this cake yourself with any type of frosting. I used to love chocolate pound cakes and this treat reminds me of those. Though, it is not as dense as a pound cake, it is delicious. This is one of my favorite chocolate snacks.

I rate this chocolate loaf cake four stars out of five stars. I will be buying it again. A relative of mine loves this cake. I agree. It is special, perfect and affordable. No baking required and yet, you get the texture of a fresh chocolate cake. Without the frosting, of course. For dieters, that fact can be a plus. One serving has 190 calories. 70 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 8 grams of total fat, only 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 35 mg's of cholesterol, 290 mg's of sodium, 29 grams of total carbs, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 17 grams of sugars and 2 grams of protein. This cake has an intriguing blend of flavors like cocoa, milk, coconut, eggs and many other ingredients.

I loved trying Entenmann's Chocolate Loaf Cake and writing a product review about it. It is affordable, tasty and high in quality. I like many Entenmann's food products. They have muffins, cakes and even scented candles. All are heavenly and fun to try. Their products have been around since 1898. Wow! This chocolate cake is a winner, for sure. Different and fabulous. This company delivers fresh goods to stores daily and I can tell.

I haven't seen this one and will have to look for it, but years ago, a supermarket chain where I used to live had a chocolate raspberry loaf cake. It was absolutely incredible! They discontinued it long before I left the area. I wish Entenmann's would start making them.
