A Review of the Film Titled the Mist

The Mist Written by Steven King

Denise Larkin
The movie title The Mist was written by Steven King. It stars Thomas Jane, Laurie Holden and Andre Braugher. Steven King is one the best authors of fiction thrillers and horrors. The Mist was a spectacular film to watch. It was an electrifying story line.

This film is about a mist that comes to a small town and causes havoc all round. It has appeared because a scientific experiment has gone wrong.

The scene is set in a supermarket. A group of people who were shopping there before the sirens went off have decided to stay inside the shop and wait for the mist to clear up. It starts with an old man who has ran into the supermarket with blood smeared on him. He tells them not to go outside, because it is too dangerous and there is something horrific in the mist.

The group listen to him, but some want to leave and some want to stay. The film becomes thrilling, intense and jumpy as things start to happen.

The characters are brilliant, especially one of them who is a lady that is very much into the bible. She turns crazy making people listen to her crazy goings on about the bible and how the mist is a warning of some kind. The more and more people listen to her, the more crazy they become. All the characters are very believable in this film, which makes the film more enthralling.

This suspense thriller is superb to watch and it will make you want to watch it to the end. The events of this film can be a little disturbing, especially when it gets to the end. To be honest and in my opinion, I did not like the ending, but Steven King writes with a conviction at heart. He makes his story line work in some way, so I guess that the ending to this film is convincing in a way.

I would give this film 8 out of 10 marks just because the story is different, unusual and the acting is superb to watch.
