A Review of the Flameless Candle Product: Scentsy Warmers

Scentsy Warmers are a safe alternative to candles. If you're looking for an economical, decorative way to fill your home with fragrance, this product can be used year-round. I find the Scentsy Warmer cost effective, practical enough for daily use, and think they would make great birthday or holiday gifts!

How I Discovered Scentsy Warmers: I first discovered Scentsy Warmers last year at a woman's forum. The colorful display set up in the representative's booth was filled with wonderful Scentsy fragrance, and I found it impossible to pass up! I purchased three Scentsy Warmers and fragrance bars that day, one for me and one for each of my daughters. Since that day all three of us use the warmer almost every day.

What are Scentsy Warmers? The Scentsy Warmers are a two part flameless and wickless fragrance product. The warmers have a base that contains a 25-watt light bulb, and a bowl that sits atop the base in which fragrant wax bars are melted. The warmers come in many attractive designs, with cut outs on the base that provide ambient lighting. There is an on/off switch on the cord.

Scentsy also offers plug-in warmers that provide an easy way to infuse fragrance throughout your home without the need of a tabletop. The Scentsy plug-ins are also pefect for those spots where you need a zap of fragrance to freshen up stale air, such as the bath and laundry room. They are approximately 3" wide and 3.5" tall and use a 15-watt bulb.

What Does Scentsy Cost? The Scentsy warmers run from $25.00 to $30.00, depending on whether you buy the mid or full sized warmer. The Plug-ins cost around $15.00. The scented fragrance bars are $5.00 for an eight-square bar or $20.00 for a one pound brick. I find their prices to be a real bargain, because the two squares I use from the bar can be reheated many times before the scent diminishes enough that they need to be replaced. Throughout the year, Scentsy offers a scent and warmer of the month at a reduced price. They also offer the option of creating multi-packs at a combination price lower than the cost of individual pieces.

What Fragrances does Scentsy offer? The fragrance bars come in many scents, and you'll find a fragrance perfect for the season and your mood. For instance, for fall and winter, you can fill the air with fragrances like Cranberry Spice, Cozy Fireside, or Christmas Cottage. For Valentine's day, set the mood with French Kiss, Simply Irresistible, or Flirtatious. Their bakery collection works well during holidays or year-round with choices such as Baked Apple Pie or Pumpkin Roll. Like dreaming of the tropics? Melt a few bars of Coconut Lemongrass or Havana Cabana. Two of my year-round favorites are Beach and Perfectly Pomegranate.

One Word of Caution: While you won't have the worry of a flickering flame, the melted wax in the upper bowl is warm (not hot) and a spill would make a mess, so keep it out of reach of little fingers.
