A Review of Glo Lounge in Orlando Florida

If you're looking for a hot night out on the town, then the Glo Lounge is the place to be, located just two blocks north of the Convention Center on International Drive; also known as the resort area of Orlando. The Glo Lounge is an upscale lounge, so make sure you're prepared to show off your stature a little.

I have to say, I was taken away by this Lounge and I am not a bar person after working in them for over 10 years. Most clubs and lounges have a theme to them that can sometimes feel "cheesy". That's what I thought about the Glo Lounge when my husband and I were talking with our friends about going. Just the name alone made me wonder. Their motto seems to fall along the lines of "an escape from reality."

So we got all dressed up, gathered our friends, and headed out to Glo. I have to admit here, just how wrong I was on my assumptions. This place is amazing! You walk in; special lighting makes all the murals come to life, pool side and cityscapes are some of the themes you see. There are couches, chairs, a nice sized bar area, and other seating areas with vibrant blues, pinks, and green colored pillows that look like they belong there, making you feel down right comfortable and at home. Their amazing lighting system makes everything "Glo", right down to the pool balls on the pool tables. If your afraid your going to miss that game of the evening, don't worry as they have four 50' plasma TV's for your enjoyment. Be sure to wear white for the ultimate experience.

The music here is very up beat and current. There are little VIP lounge areas that offer "bottle service" as well as guests being able to book their meetings and banquets here. You, as their guest will find plenty of parking behind the building. Making the Glo Lounge an extremely full service lounge.

Make sure you get there early enough to enjoy your visit, 9pm or so. Also their dress code is dress to impress or better for an enjoyable evening. The Glo Lounge is the ultimate after dinner place to be!

I am saddened to say that until October first Glo Lounge is only open to banquets, but don't worry as they will then reopen as Ice Bar.
