For the most part these wanna be designer brands smell like Listerine to me. When I seen him pick up a bottle of Gravity, I assumed immediately it was crap. For one, the bottle was ugly, and secondly, he got a 1.7 ouncer for only $9.99.
However when he sprayed some of it onto himself, I was actually quite impressed. So for this reviews sake, I went around for the day smelling like a man. I had to put it to my perfume standards test.
I sprayed some on my clothing, and some onto my wrists. I wanted to see how long this cheap perfume would last. Even though $9.99 is not a huge investment, I still feel that 10 bucks is expensive enough for one to decide whether or not it's $10 well spent, or not.
Scent:
Gravity was actually a scent I had smelled before, and this scent comes from the more expensive brand of Polo Blue. I was surprised that this cheap bottle of perfume called Gravity was able to mimic an expensive brand so well.
For those who don't know what Polo Blue smells like, let me elaborate. It's like a refreshing beachy mix or fresh linen and an ocean breeze. I especially am fond of it, and have even worn it myself.
Gravity smells just like that. Fresh linen, mixed with the ocean. Although that may sound feminine to some, fear not! Gravity is very masculine, and at the same time, very pleasing to the senses.
Last:
So how well did Gravity by Coty rank on the last test?
Quite well actually. Surprisingly well. I was able to detect Gravity on my wrist for about 2 hours. On my clothing though the scent stuck around for the entire day. I was surprised that a $10.00 bottle of perfume was able to stick around for so long. Most cheapy bottles of perfume are lucky to last 10 minutes after spraying them.
Recommended Wear:
Honestly it's one of those fragrances that can be worn any time of the year, at any time in the day. It is recommended for romantic wear, but I feel it's good enough to spritz on at any time.
Overall:
Gravity by Coty is ten buckaroos well spent. If your a guy (or you know a guy) who adores Polo Blue, then Gravity is a killer purchase.
Where To Find:
My boyfriend found Gravity at our local Flea market. Odds are if you have a flea market nearby, you will find Gravity being sold. If not, you can always purchase it online by googling the name.
Gravity should come to no more than $25.00 for the largest bottle available, which is 3.4 ounces. 1.7 though offers enough perfume to last for months.
